Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to the departments of McKean County, including but not limited to: Cartography, data collection, GIS utilization, GIS applications, & GIS technical support.
- Supports the existing county employees and departments that utilize GIS technology for a variety of purposes
- Provide GIS / Mapping services to the municipalities & municipal authorities of McKean County
- Maintain, or assist in the maintenance of, county-owned Geospatial datasets, in an attempt to ensure the highest quality & accuracy of aforementioned datasets
- Assist other county departments with planning needs as it relates to maps & GIS, i.e. Hazard Mitigation Planning
- Offer mapping services to the citizens of the County of McKean
- Maintain existing GIS applications that benefit county employees and departments, citizens, municipalities, and other entities, i.e. Parcel Viewer & Community Resource Directory
